'My reputation is based on my attention to clinical excellence'.

I am an experienced psycho-therapeutic counselling professional  and personal development coach. I practice in London, The Cotswolds and worldwide.  When you enter into the therapy process with me, I offer a very safe, non judgemental and confidential therapeutic relationship in which you can explore personal or difficult issues, that may be causing you frustration or distress. As a coach, I will help you define your goals and access your strengths. You can feel assured that I understand some of the dilemmas you may be facing, and can help you resolve them.

I completed my professional training twenty one years ago. I continued to go on to further study for two years, and qualified as a therapist with Relate, the renowned counselling organisation for couples.

During my time working as a couple counsellor I extended my knowledge and gained qualifications in working with domestic violence and mental health issues in the couple relationship. Following on from these areas of training, I went forward to obtain further qualifications  working with survivors of sexual abuse. I continued to work as therapist moving into the field of addiction and eventually  to become Director of a private rehabilitation centre.

I am accredited with: BACP, AIP, CSTD and I am an associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)  The professional body whose codes of ethics I adhere, to  ensure the highest standards of confidentiality and professional practice.  When considering counselling it is important that you choose a professional that has completed a rigorous and thorough training. This organisation has a large register of professional counsellors and psychotherapists in the UK, and ensures the highest professional standards.

Post qualifying, and after many years working with clients, I extended my training with the Centre for Supervision and team Development. to become a supervisor of others professionals. I went on to supervise for Cruse and  independent psychotherapists working in their own private practices, plus other practitioners working within organisations.

I continue to be committed to a regular programme of continued professional development and have become knowledgeable in many other areas. I am also a  member of The Royal Society of Medicine.

There are times in life, in families, in relationships, personal and in the workplace, when issues arise that seem impossible to resolve.  I have worked in various areas successfully, to help people work out a mutually agreeable outcome. This might be working with a family to help resolve drug and alcohol issues, or to mediate in relationship breakdown and maybe to  help arrange a contact agreement for access for children. The calm influence of an independent trained counselling professional, can help to keep the emotions of those that are distressed and hurting, manageable. Sensible plans, help with communication and providing an opportunity for everyone to be heard, is very valuable indeed,  and can turn a difficult situation into one that becomes resolved.

I studied  and qualified ten years ago as a coach,  and I am an accredited coach with the BACP.

During my role as a coach, I am honest, clear and direct, helping my client to establish their goals and meet their targets. My former clients include business leaders, professional sportsmen and women. Plus, women and men like you and I, simply wanting to improve self confidence and reach their goals in life.

Over the past 30 years I have acquired a varied repertoire with regard to the different business models; this has enabled me to expand my management experience. Unhappy, unfulfilled employees will stunt business growth quicker than any recession. Managers are often caught between two sectors: the employees and the senior executives. This can be a lonely place, and I offer an opportunity to discuss all aspects in confidence.

It can be an even lonelier place at the very top of an organisation. keeping perspective, balancing personal and professional responsibilities and maintaining good self care can feel impossible. I am that safe, solid personal support mechanism that can be relied upon to maintain confidentiality and help you work through your issues.

I have supported employees in International banks, the NHS, police forces, Network Rail and others, through 'employee assisted programmes' whilst working for a large EAP provider.  I now provide private EAP support through my own business.
